About Luke

Luke has loved working with cameras since he was five and took his first picture of a statue in his parents backyard garden. Since then Luke has worked on improving and perfecting his craft. He got his own first camera around the age of sixteen and immediately started bringing it with him to car shows to take pictures, which he still does to this day. He also used it to make short parody films with his friends in his senior year of Highschool. He continued his work at school, studying film at Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) for two semesters. Following this Luke transferred to Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC) to finish a degree in Cinema and got his Associates of Science in Cinema with a focus on film production. At MCTC Luke used modern 4k cinema cameras such as the Red Epic, Sony Fx-9, and Sony F-55. He also focused heavily on learning editing and becoming very comfortable in the Adobe Suite programs such as Premiere Pro and After Effects among other editing software’s. Luke now works for Kemmetmueller Photography as a photo editor, editing school photos for dozens of school in Minnesota, and continues to work around on short films while still taking any opportunity to take photos in his free time.

On set Luke has competent skills using professional grade cinema cameras like the RED Epic and Sony Fx-9 that he has used on school shoots and other short films. His favorite roll to fill while shooting is sound. Luke is very comfortable using a 6-3-3 and enjoys the art of micing up subjects. Usually recording with a large smile on he has a reputation of being the “happy sound guy”.
